Mosquito Life Cycle

Female mosquitoes lay eggs in containers that hold water.

• Above the waterline on the inner wet walls
• Only a small amount of water is needed.

Eggs hatch within a few days to months when covered in water.

Larvae live in water and develop into pupae in as few as 5 days.

Pupae live in the water and then develop into adult, flying mosquitoes in 2-3 days.
